TRAITS

TRAITS are the skills and proficiencies that all Crewmates have developed over time. Like Actions, TRAITS are associated with specific Classes.

Some TRAITS provide a BONUS to a Crew’s efficiency when performing an Action while other TRAITS confer passive BONUSES

One of the BENEFITS that Arvad Crewmates enjoy is that, owing to their greater experience, they start with THREE TRAITS whereas Adalian Crewmates begin with only ONE

The BONUSES associated with TRAITS are cumulative, unlike those for Classes. This means that recruiting Crewmates with specifically-desired TRAITS can be highly advantageous

All Crewmates will in the future be able to acquire new TRAITS, although this mechanic is not currently in operation

There are three TRAITS associated with each Class. Not all BONUSES are currently known and TRAITS marked with *  will only become active in the future:

Using the example from the previous section, we will illustrate the effect that having additional Crewmates with the Builder TRAIT on your Crew will have on the time that it takes to construct an extractor. This example assumes that you’re starting with five Engineers without any TRAITS:

By now the importance of the composition of your Crew, both with respect to the Classes and Traits it contains, should be clear. It should also be apparent that the Actions you wish your Crew to perform will dictate the Crewmates that you should aim to recruit

A Crew containing one of each Class and a mix of Traits will perform all Actions without penalty. A specialized Crew will perform specific Actions with far greater efficiency and speed

Finally, every Arvad Crewmate benefits from an additional BONUS that is related to their previous occupation or profession
